The Rimat Action Packed: Photos and List of Winners

Last weekend the 2011 Rimat Ti Amianan National Shortboard Competition saw 7ft to double overhead waves with the North swell going all out at the Point. Competitors from La Union, Baler, Siargao and all over slew huge wedges to give this year’s Rimat a fantastic show of power and flair surfing.

Music ensued after the ceremonies. The Bottles band of Baler belted out their covers of reggae and ska songs and the crowd – visitors from Germany, the UK, Slovenia, Korea, Manila and of course the locals – partied all thru out the night.
