of course, you go to Baler to surf. but there are days when the waves aren’t that good, or it’s close to being flat. fortunately it’s good to know that Baler is more than just about the surf. the place is full amazing sites to behold.

thick forests surround Aurora

30 -45 min ride fromthe main town

prepare for a trek. as the sign says, it’s 1.3km.
and once you get there, you forget everything else

something is magical and healing in these cold waters

it’s weird, but you’ll feel the urge to pose like this when you stand in front of a grand waterfall
The next time you go to Baler, be sure to visit the Mother Falls. You will never forget it.

Again thank you PAGASA for the accurate weather forecasting. And after the Bicol Region was battered by Typhoon Bebeng, the furious storm went ...
Beneath an Orange Sky after surf, having beer by the shore, admiring what's unfolding before us...
"It was one of those sunsets that was beautiful beyond belief. And it was not even that cliche beautiful sunset by the beach. It was surreal, encompassing, and possibly quite as magical as the waves of Magic Left. As ...
Stranded in Paradise! Surfing the Majestics in Catanduanes
The problem with tropical typhoons is that they sneak up on you. A low pressure area can develop into a massive signal #3 typhoon in just 48 hrs! And that’s exactly what happened to us in Catanduanes! 5 Gubat Bay Surfers plus a Daet surfer and 3 guys and a ...

Your visit to Baler is not complete without going to the Mother Falls. This is a must if you intend to go to Baler.
Anyway, great post.
I just want to add to my post the Surf and Music Festival in Pagudpud this year. Please follow this link: http://beyondoutdooradventures.com/mountain-bike-tours/surf-and-music-festival-2012/
They incorporated mountain biking in this event to make it more fun.
Thanks.
Probably my favorite non surf thing to do in Baler. Course changes each time.
